Who We Are
Dr Prue Addison undertook her NERC Knowledge Exchange Fellowship from January 2016 until March 2019, in collaboration with Professor E.J. Milner-Gulland (University of Oxford) and Dr Joe W. Bull (University of Copenhagen).
Our science network and research activities span all inhabited continents of the globe. We collaborate with internationally renowned conservation scientists, and have published hundreds of publications in top science journals.
Our science impact is far reaching. We work or have worked with governments, NGOs and industry across Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe and the Americas – influencing policy development, providing robust science-based advice on biodiversity issues, and implementing and evaluating biodiversity monitoring programmes.
We have worked with numerous businesses from mining, construction, transport, energy, manufacturing and agricultural sectors identifying challenges and developing solutions to implement corporate biodiversity strategies.
We have advised key players in the business and biodiversity space, such as the International Finance Corporation, various Development Banks, the United Nations Development Programme, cross-sector partnerships like IPIECA and the Cross-Sectoral Biodiversity Initiative, international organisations such as the International Union for the Conservation of Nature, and large environmental NGOs on businesses approaches to biodiversity protection.
